Hello, we are Reuben and Jo, parents to a one year old girl. Reuben has British Sign Language qualifications so we have been signing with our baby since she was born. We came across the Sing and Sign DVD which our daughter loved, and have found that since watching the dvd with her, she has picked up so many more signs. And as I was a novice to the signing it really helped me to pick them up too! It is so rewarding to be able to understand our baby, and for her to know that we understand her makes her so happy. There aren't any classes in this area yet so we weren't able to take our little one, which is a shame because whilst the DVD is great, I am certain that more fun and learning can happen in a class. So that is why we decided to become teachers here in Plymouth.
We start our first classes at the beginning of September. We hope to see you then!

We have had a few hiccups with the time taken to process CRB checks, but all being well we will hold our classes in the D.E.L.L. Children's Centre, Efford. We are awaiting confirmation from a couple of other Children's Centres and will update as soon as we can. The course will be 10 weeks long with a weeks break in between for the half term.
